++ shida and her Merdeka message to Reality - by Shifa ++

Hahaha, it was a cold and drizzling night...and I was stressed out, by work and struggling to complete it by 12 midnight as I know I have to wake up by 6am the very next day. Then all of sudden, my handphone 'called out', "Excuse me boss, you have a text message." Hmmm...i wonder...who is that 'someone', sending me an sms at this hour? could it be a student? or Esa? no, no, no...it is too early for Esa i supposed.

A message in my handphone inbox. Wow, this is weird, i thought to myself. I grabbed my N73, and have a glanced at it~it's shida, 'smsed' me at this hour? today? now? hey, what's the occasion? i thought to myself. she wrote,"kengkawan, jgn lupa dengar bersama radio 93.9fm pukul 12.20 nanti yek. I nak bagi ucapan Merdeka kat U all ni."

"huhu"~I thought. "This is interesting. I have an hour to go before 12.20am, so I guess this could mean spending more time in front of this computer." Quickly, I replied to shida's message and to the rest of the gals as well, saying " Wo...dahsyat ni...mesti dengar ni..." :P ~thinking that all of us gals must have gotten that message from shida. But to my surprise, Eza didn't get the message from Shida, due to her excitement, packing her stuffs for a holiday in Club Med, Bintan. Now, Eza replied me a message that sounds like this," Amenda yg kena dengar ni?" Not knowing a thing about Shida's announcement earlier on her 'Merdeka dedication'. :)

i called Eza, told her the 'breaking news' and i even smsed ayu, but Ayu told me that she'w unwell~poor Ayu, she had a bad flu...and was about to dozed off...(after taking her..err...'drugs'???) haha...drugs = medicine ok...? Sajer bikin controversy jap...hahaha...

Anyways, i tuned in to that 'station' which i have to say, a boring one...(i even wonder why and how on earth did Shida found out about this station...) OMG! this station is so much like the Radio 1 RTM~ good in a way la...it brought back some 'good old memories'...hahaha. (way to go Shida!)

ok so i waited, till 12.30am, and at last I caught that familiar voice, but well...on radio she was softer, a little bit more 'manja'...hahaha...(ade apa2 ngan DJ tu ker..?) and she said hello and all la...like the usuall...nothing new there. But i started to laugh my lungs out when the DJ started asking questions 'cepu mas' like:

Apakah erti kemerdekaan terhadap anda? ~dengan suara skemanyer...
and my beautiful friend had to answer that on national radio!!!! hahaha.

To make it even more interesting, that(masuk bakul angkat sendiri nyer DJ) asked another one:
Apakah sumbangan anda kepada negara selepas 50 tahun kemerdekaan? i laughed even harder...and i said out loud, "Nasib ko la Shida...jawab soalan tu on national radio..." funny kan...shida had to answer all these questions including about her job and such before she could even proceed to her dedication.

Then finally, after all the 'stressful', brain wrecking and twisting session is over, she finally could make her dedication. Being a little bit confused and exhausted, she could just say "Happy Merdeka to her family and friends-without mentioning our names...I thought, "Shida...you smsed me to listen to your dedication, but this is all i got???" Haiyo...

Oh, ya...she even told the DJ that her mother is celebrating her 50th birthday on 31st August 2007-dengan bangganyer si DJ tu announced, "so mak Shida anak merdeka la..." hahaha...and he made shida declare, full heartedly "Merdeka, Merdeka, Merdeka" ala Tunku Abdul Rahman. "Well done my friend", i said. "Well done."
